My name is Darnell Calhoun. I have practiced forest bathing in Chicago. I founded City Forest bathing to promote and encourage regular mindful exposure to natural environments to support human wellness for those who live in the city. I offer individuals and small group Forestbathing, nature mindfulness and nature walks for adults and children. I also utilize the power of social media and blockchain technology to share this message around the world.
My background is in justice studies from Northeastern Illinois University and I am a youth exercise specialist certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and certified forest therapy and nature mindfulness guide.
Shinrin-Yoku or Forestbathing a Japanese term meaning "to take in the forest atmosphere". In Forestbathing you experience nature through your senses.

Forest bathing is often considered necessary in our modern world because it directly counteracts the negative effects of our technology-driven, high-stress, and largely indoor lifestyles.
